40mm Old Glory Sioux warrior Indian Sash and Sabre

Here is another Old Glory 40mm Sioux warrior.
I have managed to pick up another 7 of these in a trade for some 28mm Indian Mutiny  Mutineer Highlanders.  I still would like more or again some of the US Cavalry figures.  Not much more to say really, any questions will be answered and any comments are welcome.

Old Glory 40mm Sioux Indian {Sash and Sabre}

Here as promised is a second 40mm OG Sioux Indian.  Again its a very nice sculpt and enjoyable to paint.  This time I tried for a Piebald horse, its seems to have worked.
More of these to come, again if anyone out there has any of these spare or US. Cavalry for trade or swap please let me know.

Old Glory 40mm Sioux War chief {Sash and Sabre}

The figure this time is an Old Glory  or Sash and Sabre for some people, 40mm Sioux War chief on a Palomino.  I never thought much of these figures before,  never actually getting one in my hand, but now I have and have painted it, they are excellent sculpts.
I am on the lookout for more of these, so if anyone has any spare for trade or sale please let me know.

Perry Miniatures 28mm Picton Uxbridge Wellington Mounted

Here for who is interested are some more pictures of my latest figures painted.  They are of the British Commanders Wellington, Picton and Uxbridge from Perry miniatures.  Again they are unbased as I am unsure what to do with these figures, they may end up on Ebay.  Unless anyone reading this fancies them?
They are lovely sculpts especially the horses.

I painted these using an undercoat of black rather than my usual white undercoat and feel I shall stick to a white undercoat from now on.  It was a test to see how they would turn out with a black undercoat.  The end result is okay and does make it easier to paint figures quicker, but its white for me from now on.

STAKEOUT 28mm Dixon Miniatures Apaches

Back again with another couple of pictures.  This is a set that Dixons sell called,  Stakeout, all I added was an Indian pony from Dixons and a hat also. Dixons in their day were about the most poular and largest company, but seem to have fallen away of late.  I always rated and still do their horses as the best on the market.

As for the figures themselves they are okay, not as bad as some.  They always tended to have pumpkin heads, but these are more in proportion. I hope you enjoy looking at these, any comments welcome, thanks for looking.

28mm French Officer 7th Hussars Trent Miniatures Wargames figure

Hello again, after another long wait I have eventually got around to photograph some of my latest work.
This is a 28mm model from Trent miniatures of a mounted Officer of the 7th Hussars.  I am guessing its been sculpted by Copplestone but not 100% sure.
Anyhow its a lovely model and I enjoyed painting it.  Trent have some nice stuff if you trawl through their pages. Although the pictures they have of their models are not great and some of their models are not of a high standard like this one.  You are best to look at their models in the flesh so as to speak.
I did try NMM for the Gold on this model, not too successfully but it looks okay, practice makes perfect as they say.

Mexican Spy Company 40mm. GRINGO40s

As promised I have finished painting the Gringo40s Spy company vignette, not 100% as I am not sure how I am going to base them yet.

Thanks to Ged at Gringo40s for helping with colours of uniforms etc.

As you can see from photos these are 40mm figures, solid and well sculpted.

The history of this unit is quite interesting as they fought for the U.S. and not Mexico as I first thought. Mainly made up of Ex Jailbirds and the like but led by proper Officers, a kind of early Dirty Dozen if you like. As you can see from the bands on their hats, they actually wore these! they were called the Spy Company.
