Gordons Last Stand 28mm Perry Minis
This is one of my latest projects, its a 28mm Perry Miniatures representation of General Gordons Last stand. Its copied from a painting by George William Joy and quite accurately done.
I did alter this slightly by putting a spear in Gordons chest as happened in the film starring Charlton Heston, not sure whether painting shows this or some kind of salute by him? Anyhow here it is, an enjoyable piece to work on and finish.
I am working on some Mutineer miniatures Highland infantry fromn the Indian Mutiny. This is my first time doing tartan and not an easy one, will post pictures when finished.
Thanks for looking and comments.

Gripping Beast 28mm Ragnar the Viking
Well here we go as promised the Viking I bought at Claymore. Its a Gripping Beast 28mm metal figure and a very nice sculpt.
This figure comes in 2 parts, the right hand and spear are seperate from the body, believe it or not I managed to pin the hand and spear to the body, not easily but worth it for secureness.
I believe he is called Ragnar but looks nothing like Ernest Borgnine from the film Vikings, if I remember correctly?
Anyhow thanks for looking and comments welcome.

Finished Croat Cavalry 28mm TAG
Well here they are at last, historically correct and including the correct flag.
The flag being a copy of a rather tattered one already shown.
There is not much info about these guys on the net but I found enough eventually to get them painted accurately. The figures themselves are from The Assault Group miniatures and sculpted by Nick Collier.
I did enjoy painting these even though they are not the period type I would automatically go for.
Again thanks for looking and any comments welcome
